PICKING STATUS:

Strawberries = Picking

Gooseberries = Picking

Redcurants = Not ready yet

Raspberries = Not ready yet

Blackcurrant = Not ready yet

We're very excited to welcome you back to Scaddows Farm this summer! We are open and ready to rock. We are currently picking our earlier variety of Strawberry. Our main season Strawberries are not yet ready. If we are exceptionally busy it is possible will will run short of fruit before the main season varieties begin. We have plenty to go at to start and will try and update as we go.

Please read all the information below to make your visit as safe and enjoyable as possible!

General Site Rules:

* NO DOGS allowed - Please remember we do not allow dogs on site

* Payment by card when possible in field and Farm Shop

* All Fruit Picked must be paid for prior to eating it, No eating allowed in the fruit picking field.

* No Picnics / sitting in groups around the Strawberry Picking Field.

* Maintain 2m social distance at all times

* Follow and abide by signage and staff information

* NO TOILETS On Site for Health and Safety Reasons. Due to the shop layout it is impossible to socially distance people in and out of our toilets. Please do not give our staff a hard time about this.

PYO FRUIT COVID Guidance:

1. Arrive at site

2. Booking not required

3. Park car sensibly maintaining social distancing of 2m betwen households at all times during visit

4. Use containers provided onsite for picking, please DO NOT bring your own containers (our staff cannot handle your containers to weigh them before picking for health and safety reasons)

5. Follow signage for entrance, Queue to collect picking containers and receive picking information and use hand sanitiser.

6. Enter field and pick fruit, maintain 2m betwee households at all times, follow signage information to reduce posibility of crowding.

7. Return to pay station to pay. Maximum of 2 people per household join the queue to pay, remaining houshold members please return to your vehicles.

8. Please pay by card if possible at the paystation. Hand sanitiser available at pay station.

9. Maximum visit length of two hours

Farm Shop COVID Guidance:

1. Please park in our Farm Shop Car Park

2. Follow Signage to queue for entry into the shop or for our Takeaway kiosk

3. Maintain 2m social distance at all times

4. Hand sanitize on entry into shop

5. Maximum 5 households in the Farm Shop at one times

6. NO TOILETS ON SITE

About Scaddows Farm

Scaddows Farm is located in beautiful countryside on the A514 between Ticknall and Hartshorne in South Derbyshire.

John and Ann Webster have been farming all their lives and moved to Ticknall in 1987 with daughter, Lizzie, and son, Tom. The farm is a family run business and produces lamb, vegetables and pick-your-own fruit and also has a secluded caravan park with 10 pitches.

We are passionate about producing traditional & homegrown produce, and the farm has become famous for it's Pick-Your-Own strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries & blackcurrants. We are hoping to extend our fruit season and expand our range of fruit now that our new farm shop is open, beginning with longer strawberry & raspberry seasons.
