Scaddows Picking Update 30th June

**** Strawberries Now Difficult to Pick ***

On Wednesday 2nd July our opening hours will change for the remainder of the season! We will close the PYO Field and the Farm Shop @ 5pm. Last entry for fruit picking will be 4:30pm.

Following a busy few days and the persistent heat our strawberries are now difficult to pick. Whilst there is fruit out there the berries are smaller and very ripe. We are picking gooseberries and black currants. Raspberries are also suffering from the heat. We hope they will recover a bit this coming week but they are currently difficult to pick.

PICKING STATUS:
🍓 Strawberries £5/kg = Difficult Picking
🍈 Gooseberries £5/kg = Picking
🍒 Redcurants £5/kg = Not ready yet
🍇 Raspberries £6.20/kg = Difficult Picking
🫐 Blackcurrant £5/kg = Picking

General Site Rules 📝:
* NO DOGS allowed - Please remember we do not allow 🐶 on site as the weather warms up please leave your dogs at home in the shade with plenty of water!!
* Payment by cash or card. Card preferred. 💳💵
* All Fruit Picked must be paid for prior to eating it, No eating allowed in the fruit picking field. 🛑
* Only pick fruit you are willing to pay for, you will be charged for everything you pick. 🛑
* No Picnics / sitting in groups within the Strawberry Picking Field
* No running or throwing fruit in the field.
* No Drones
* No Smoking

How it Works:
1. Arrive at site
2. Booking not required
3. Park car in the designated area
4. We have punnets and baskets available to purchase or you are welcome to bring your own
5. Follow signage for entrance and to collect containers
6. Enter field and pick fruit
7. Return to pay station to pay
8. Treat yourself to ice cream and a cold drink from the Farm Shop!
